Liang Tang is a partner at Merits&Tree Law Offices. Prior to joining M&T, he was a senior partner at AllBright Law Offices.
His main practice areas are investment and M&A, dispute resolution, real estate and infrastructure. With over eighteen years of legal experience, he has provided full-process legal services for many listed companies and large state-owned enterprises in the fields of the M&A, commercial dispute resolution, and project negotiations and construction. He has been involved in the Sino-Thai Chemical Joint Venture's annual production of 1.2 million tons of PTA project in cooperation with DuPont; and represented the Sino-Thai Chemical Group in a series of construction engineering, equipment procurement, and technical service cases against China National Chemical Engineering Group (with a case value of about 500 million yuan); and provided asset restructuring services for the Xinjiang Shengxiong Energy and Zhejiang Faber Group, as well as consortium loans from banks such as ICBC, CCB, Huaxia, China Merchants, and SPD Bank. He has also represented Xinjiang Tianshan Pipeline Co., Ltd., Guotong Pipeline Co., Ltd., China National Building Material Group, and China Railway Material Group in major asset restructuring and restructuring cases; and handled the first intellectual property protection administrative penalty case in the Urumqi Customs of Xinjiang involving Kashgar Meirui Import and Export Company. Since 2019, Mr. Tang has focused on the development of carbon-neutral legal service products, focusing on the "3060" strategy, as well as provided financing and M&A services to major new energy investment projects for new energy companies and central enterprises in Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Gansu, and other places. In this process, he participated in the compilation of the New Energy Project Risk Prevention and Control Guide and has rich industry experience and a solid professional foundation.
