Ping Xiang is a partner at Merits & Tree Law Offices in Beijing. Prior to joining M&T, he served as a legal advisor at the Construction Engineering Arbitration Court of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission and worked a in well-known law firm for several years.
Mr. Xiang has been focusing on legal services in the field of real estate and infrastructure. This includes non-litigation consulting and dispute resolution services throughout the entire process of real estate investment, construction, and operational management. He has provided specialized consulting services and litigation/arbitration representation for a variety of commercial residential development projects, bank headquarters building projects, pharmaceutical R&D bases, port and dock expansion projects, industrial park renewal projects, local financial center landmark projects, and expressway projects, accumulating a wealth of legal service experience.
Since his practice, Mr.Xiang has been paying close attention to industry development and actively participating in legal research. He has published a personal monograph titled Construction Engineering Contract Legal Practice with the Law Press. He has also participated in the compilation of a series of books on adjudication rules such as construction engineering contracts, state-owned land use rights contracts, and property service contracts as a member of the expert group of the "Special Research on Case Retrieval and Adjudication Rules of Chinese Courts" led by the China Law Society and the Trial Theory Research Association of the Supreme People's Court. In addition, Mr. Xiang , as a member of the Permanent China Construction Engineering Law Forum, has participated in the compilation of China Construction Engineering Contract Law Dictionary Terms Interpretation and Practical Guidance and Construction Engineering Quality Dispute Adjudication Guide and other works. He has also published several professional articles in journals such as China Engineering Consulting, China Bidding, and China Construction Engineering Law Review. He has been honored with the "2019-2020 Annual Newcomer Award in the Field of China Construction Engineering Law" by China Construction Engineering Law Review.
